Bacon is an unused upgrade which serves as some counter for how much bacon you have collected. There is a small button on the upgrades description tab on the bottom-left corner which you can press to purchase bacon, although will reset once you exit the game. Each one costs 10 coins, and will continue to increase by 10 for ever purchase and can still be bought even if you have no coins. It uses the pink X image as a placeholder. In older versions of the game, it would prompt a message asking you if you would like to confirm your purchase. Newer updates just purchase it automatically. v3.4.4 through v4.1.1 would also play a sizzling sound upon purchase.
